IFS have long recognised that large volume shippers of freight were frustrated by having to enter data into a freight despatch system that already existed in their in-house ERP or stock control / sales software.

Interface can be singular or bi-directional i.e. IFS SmartFreight^® can pass back carrier, consignment note number, freight cost etc if unknown by in-house system & client wishes all data to be held re order in one area of organization.

Such an interface can reduce time & potential data entry errors dramatically. If all data known then IFS SmartFreight^® can process file, create consignment & automatically print freight labels with no human intervention whatsoever. Alternatively if some data necessary to complete shipment unknown by in-house system, consignment held in Pending status to allow operator to add or lock in balance of data.

This process has been taken to the next level with seamless interfaces written between a number of packages in the marketplace, which allows customers using these packages to put an interface into operation quickly & efficiently.
